Cloudways wins on pure $/site at the low end for agencies billing clients per-site. Kinsta + WP Engine win on performance-at-scale, with Kinsta's Google Cloud backbone pulling ahead for edge-cache TTFB and WP Engine's Cloudflare Enterprise integration saving agencies a separate CDN contract. Flywheel + Pressable occupy the freelance-to-SMB agency sweet spot with simpler client billing workflows.

Methodology

Data collection: April 15–24, 2026, directly from each vendor's public pricing page. Agency-specific plans (multi-site partner plans) are shown where vendors publish them; otherwise we use their comparable single-site tier at multi-site scale.

What's excluded: overage fees for exceeding visit limits, migration fees (most waive; some charge), add-on security (Malware scanning, WAF), bandwidth overages at high-CDN tiers.

Update cadence: quarterly. Q3 2026 refresh July 2026. License: CC BY 4.0.
